The region closed to Bodø has many cavesystems. Some of Northern Europe's deepest and longest caves can be found here. Caves have been carved out of the limestone during millenia by melting water from the glaciers that has provided the fascinating landscape above the groud as well. Together with us you can explore some of these fascinating places underground. Limestone caves General information about caves Singelhola is one of the closest caves to Bodø. This is a simple cave that requires no equipment other than a helmet, a headlamp and a little adventurousness. To get to the cave we have to walk an hour from the parking lot before arriving at the opening where we ready on the helmet and headlamp.
